Horizons at Hemlock Overlook is a program of Camp Horizons.

Established in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in 1983, Camp Horizons is a diverse community of campers and staff members from across the United States and around the world working, playing, and learning together. Since our founding, we have been fully accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), an organization that has been ensuring that American summer camps provide only the safest and highest caliber of programming for almost a century. Offering a variety of activities that challenge our campers to reach their full potential as individuals and team players, we are dedicated to making sure that campers experience their best summer ever at Camp Horizons and come to see their new camp friends as their new camp family.

Hemlock at Horizons Overlook carries on a four-decade tradition of high-quality outdoor experiences for school programs from Virginia, Maryland, and the Washington D.C. area. Just tell us a little about your goals for the trip, and we will take care of the rest.

Depending on your goals, you may choose to stay overnight or spend a day engaging in activities in our wonderful woods. We are resuming team-building programs fall 2023 and starting environmental education and outdoor adventure programs in spring 2024. Select from many activities in team building, environmental education, and outdoor adventure. The options and combinations you choose keep things exciting year to year.
